My cheap caulk gun finally got replaced by a $9 one from the hardware store

I spent years fighting with a dollar store caulk gun that made a mess every time, and last week I grabbed one with a thumb release and it actually cut my cleanup time in half. Has anyone else noticed a huge difference just from that simple little mechanism?

Did you ever have one of those cheap ones where the rod just slides backwards when you're trying to squeeze? I threw mine across the garage after it dumped a whole tube of caulk on my driveway.
