Tried steam extraction over manual extractions for a week in my chair at work

I've been doing manual extractions for 5 years at the spa in Denver, but last week I gave steam extraction a real shot on three clients with stubborn congestion. I picked a basic steam machine for about $200 and focused on gentle pressure with a lancet instead of my usual fingers. Honestly, it took longer per session, like 15 extra minutes, and I didn't see as much immediate clearing on blackheads. Has anyone else here switched and stuck with it long term, or did you go back to manual?

Oh man, 15 extra minutes per client is rough. I dunno, seems like you're overthinking this one a bit. If your manual method has been working for half a decade, why mess with it just cause steam is the new hot thing?

Been noticing a similar pattern everywhere lately. People jump on new tools or methods just because everyone else is talking about them, even when the old way was working fine. My neighbor spent a week setting up a fancy smart home system only to find out his basic timer plugs did the same job with zero headaches. In my experience, if something doesnt feel broken, poking at it usually creates problems you didnt have before. Steam might be fine for some folks, but that 15 minutes per client adds up fast across a week. Sometimes the boring solution is the best one just because it keeps things simple and predictable.
