A client in Phoenix asked me to skip the steam during her facial last month

She said her skin felt tight and dry after it every time. I've always been taught that steam is a must to open pores before extractions. But her skin looked calm and clear after we did the whole treatment without it. Now I'm wondering if we push steam too hard for some skin types. Has anyone else had a client ask to cut a classic step like that?

I mean, the steam step always seemed non-negotiable to me. Maybe it's just me, but if her skin looked good without it, that's what matters most.

Right, @anderson.sandra, but don't you hate when a routine feels like a chore?
