DAE remember when a full board swap was the go-to fix for a bad HDMI port on a PS4?
Now I can replace just the port itself in about 30 minutes with a hot air station, thanks to better schematics and parts being available. Anyone else feel like microsoldering has completely changed the game for console repair in the last couple years?

Totally, it's wild how much has changed. I remember being so nervous the first time I tried a port replacement on a Switch... now it feels like a normal Tuesday. Having those board views and part numbers out there is a total game changer.

Remember when a simple port swap felt like defusing a bomb? @the_linda, I definitely used to sweat over every single pin. Now with the right guides, it's almost relaxing, isn't it?

Oh man, the first time I opened up a DS Lite I was convinced I'd never get it back together. I spent like an hour just staring at the ribbon cable for the top screen, absolutely frozen. These days, I'd probably just order a whole new shell and go for it without a second thought. Funny how experience just turns that panic into mild annoyance.
