DAE remember when a full board swap was the go-to fix for a bad HDMI port on a PS4?

Now I can replace just the port itself in about 30 minutes with a hot air station, thanks to better schematics and parts being available. Anyone else feel like microsoldering has completely changed the game for console repair in the last couple years?

Oh man, the first time I opened up a DS Lite I was convinced I'd never get it back together. I spent like an hour just staring at the ribbon cable for the top screen, absolutely frozen.
