A 2019 Samsung TV repair made me rethink how much I should charge for board-level work

Last week, a guy brought in a 65-inch Samsung with a bad power supply. I spent maybe 45 minutes finding and replacing a single blown capacitor that cost me $2. The repair worked perfectly. He was thrilled, but I only charged him $60 for the whole job. Part of me thinks I saved his TV and that's fair, but another part knows I could have charged double for the skill and time. How do you all price out these quick board fixes versus just swapping the whole unit?

Used to swap boards, but @amymiller changed my mind.

Ever had a customer argue over a five dollar part?

Oh constantly. It's never about the money, it's about winning.
