That $30 'reusable' ziplock bag set was a total waste of cash

I bought a 5-pack of those silicone bags thinking I'd save money on sandwich bags, but after 3 washes the seals started failing and stuff leaked all over my lunch bag. Anybody else have better luck with a different brand that actually holds up?

Ugh tell me about it. I got a set off Amazon from some random brand and same thing - the seals gave out after like 2 weeks. Honestly the only ones that have worked for me are the Stasher brand if you get the ones with the slide lock on top, not just the press seal. Those press seal ones are garbage for anything wet. I also found that running them through the dishwasher on the bottom rack helps keep the edges from warping so bad. Dry stuff only is basically just paying $30 for cute storage boxes, which is a rip off.

Jumped right on that bandwagon too with a set from some brand I saw all over Instagram. The first week was fine, put my kid's apple slices in one and it sealed up nice and tight. But after maybe 4 washes the top started getting all warped, and then a whole leaky yogurt situation happened in my work bag that I'm still finding crusty bits of. Tried the Stasher ones my sister swears by, same exact problem after a month or so. Honestly think these silicone things are just a scam unless you're only putting dry stuff in them, which kind of defeats the whole purpose of replacing plastic bags.
