That $3 garage sale math book from 1968 is now worth $200
I grabbed this old math textbook at a garage sale last summer for 3 bucks just cause the cover had this wild geometric pattern on it. Turned out to be a first edition of something called "Modern Mathematics for the Elementary Teacher" from 1968. Listed it on eBay last week and it sold in 4 hours for $200 to some collector. Has anyone else found a random old textbook that ended up being worth way more than you expected?

Things people threw out as junk end up worth serious money more often than you'd think.

Is it really that serious though? I mean, $200 is nice but after eBay takes their cut and shipping you're probably looking at maybe $160. That's not exactly life changing money for a textbook that only sold because one collector happened to want it. Tbh, I've seen people post about old textbooks selling for like $500 or $1000, so $200 seems more like a decent little win than a huge score.
