Vent: library sale near Austin got totally raided before I could even look

I rolled up to the library sale off of Burnet Road at 9 AM sharp last Saturday and some reseller crew had already cleared out every single vintage sci-fi paperback. Has anyone else dealt with these early bird vultures at local sales?

Oh man, that Burnet Road sale is a battlefield sometimes. I had the exact same problem until I started showing up 30-45 minutes before the official start time and just hanging out. Folks from those reseller groups literally wait in their cars with coffee and then sprint in the second the doors open. I learned the hard way to ask the librarians ahead of time if they let early birds browse the sorting area, a few of them let me peek at the boxes before they hit the tables.

Gotta start packing my own coffee thermos and work on my sprinting form, I guess.
