Am I the only one who thinks library sales are way better than thrift stores for old books?

I see everyone raving about thrift store finds in here, but I hit up a library sale in Austin last month and came away with 12 books for $6. Thrift stores near me charge $3 for a beat up paperback. Plus library books are usually in better shape, less smell too. Anyone else prefer one over the other?

@kim_sanchez19 that Stephen King haul you mentioned is wild, definitely changed my mind about library sales. Used to just hit thrift stores but now I'm watching my local library calendar like a hawk.

My buddy from work hit up the library sale in her town last weekend and she texted me a photo of her haul. She got like 20 books for eight bucks, including a hardcover Stephen King that looked barely touched. Thrift stores around here would have charged her five bucks for that one book alone, and it would probably smell like an ashtray. She said the library had them organized by genre too, not just thrown in a musty bin. Library sales are definitely the hidden gem in this whole book hunting game.
