My recent gig showed me how textured walls are making a comeback

I've been hanging drywall for a bit, and I keep getting jobs where folks want texture instead of smooth finishes. Just wrapped up a whole house where the ceiling had to have that knock-down look, which was new for me. Took some practice to get the mud consistency right, but it came out clean in the end. Honestly, it's a small win to learn this style as it gets more popular, lmao. I guess those DIY shows on TV are pushing the trend around here. Sharing in case others are seeing the same thing in their areas.

Yeah the DIY show thing is spot on, I see that driving a lot of requests too. Getting that knockdown technique down is definitely a good skill to have in the bag now. Seems like smooth walls are taking a backseat for a minute.
