A client in Savannah said my silt curtain setup was a joke
They pointed out my anchors were too close, letting fines escape past the barrier. I switched to a 50-foot spread and the turbidity readings dropped by half. Anyone else get called out on curtain placement?

Oh man, that happens all the time. I had a guy in Tampa swear my curtain was sagging. I tightened it up and the readings got better, but the tide had just turned slack. He took all the credit for spotting the "issue.

What makes you so sure the spread was the only factor? Turbidity can drop for a dozen reasons like current shift or settling time. Sometimes a client sees a problem and you fix it, but the fix wasn't for the reason they said. Your anchors might have been fine and you just got lucky with the conditions.

Totally agree with that last point. Honestly clients see one thing and blame it for everything. Changing your anchor spread could have helped, but like you said, the current might have just died down at the same time. I've fixed stuff that wasn't even broken because they pointed at it, and then conditions changed and made me look good. Makes it hard to know what actually solved the problem.
