Found black mold behind my bathroom vanity last weekend
I was swapping out a leaky faucet in my guest bathroom on Saturday and pulled the vanity out a few inches. That's when I saw a patch of black mold about the size of a dinner plate growing on the drywall behind it. The drain pipe had a slow drip for who knows how long, probably years. I cut out the affected drywall and sprayed everything down with concrobium, but I'm not sure if that's enough. Has anyone dealt with mold behind a vanity before and what did you use to seal the new drywall?
Did you use a mold resistant primer before painting? I had the same issue in my laundry room and that stuff has kept it from coming back for over a year now.
