TIL caulk guns have a 'drip stop' and I wasted 45 minutes cleaning up

I was finishing up some baseboard gaps in my living room and kept getting goop everywhere until I googged why. Can't believe it took me 3 years of doing this stuff to learn that little lever actually does something.

The "drip stop" bit got me. I always thought that lever was just some cheap part of the handle. Now I'm mad at myself for all the ruined shirts and sticky floors over the years.

Oh come on, that little lever saved me zero shirts. I use it all the time and somehow still manage to get coffee on everything anyway.
