Spent $80 on a 'universal' EGR delete kit that didn't fit a single truck in the shop.

Universal parts listings are such a trap, especially for anything engine related. Bought a "fits all" cabin air filter that was just a piece of foam in a plastic frame, didn't seal at all. Those listings count on you not wanting to deal with a return over twenty bucks. What did the seller say when you contacted them?

Just hit $10k in a single month for the first time, which is crazy to me.

Whoa, congrats! That's a huge jump. First, don't spend all of it. I'd take 30-40% right off the top and put it in a separate savings account just for taxes. Then, look up your estimated tax payment dates. You might need to make a bigger payment next quarter because of this income spike. I use a simple spreadsheet to track what I set aside.

I used to cut all my dados with a router jig, but after a kitchen job in Spokane, I switched to the table saw for good.

Yeah, the router was my go-to for years too. I had this one bookshelf project where every dado was just a hair off, and I spent more time fixing gaps than building. Switched to a simple sled on the table saw and it was night and day. The cuts are so much cleaner and square, and I can bang out a whole set in minutes now. What kind of sled are you running?

PSA: I used to think the ending of 'The Dark Knight' was perfect, but a friend's idea made me rethink it.

Totally reminds me of my friend Sam and the last Harry Potter movie. He got so mad they cut the part where Harry fixes his own wand with the Elder Wand before breaking it. Said it made the whole ending feel cheap, like the magic just fixed itself and he didn't have to make that final choice himself.

I swore off screen protectors until a CRACKED screen cost me a fortune.

A lesson we all learn the hard way.
