Finally realized I was painting trim in the wrong order after 4 years
I watched my neighbor start with the back edges of the door casing instead of the face and it hit me why my trim always looked drippy and uneven, has anyone else had that one moment where a tiny change just clicked for no reason?

Four years and you're just figuring that out? Your trim must have looked like a Jackson Pollock painting.

My neighbor Dave spent three years trimming his own hedges and they looked like a drunk caterpillar had a seizure in his front yard. He finally hired a guy last summer who just laughed and said "you been using kids scissors on these?" The whole thing with paint or trim is that you don't know what you're missing until someone points it out and then you can't unsee it. I painted my own bathroom four times before my sister came over and said "why is the ceiling a different shade of white than the walls?" Now I just pay someone who knows what they're doing.
