Lost $120 on a co-working space in Medellin that had zero WiFi

Paid for a month upfront at this place in Poblado that looked amazing, but the router kept dropping every 15 minutes and the owner didn't care. Anyone else get burned by a 'digital nomad friendly' spot with terrible internet?

Did you at least get some good tinto out of the deal? I once paid for a "high speed" coworking spot in Bangkok that turned out to be a guy's apartment with a single ethernet cable running to a broken printer. Managed to write one whole email in three hours before giving up and just buying data on my phone. Honestly, I should have known when the "office tour" was just him waving at a dusty router from across the room. Now I always ask for a speed test screenshot before handing over any cash, but the owner probably blocked me anyway. You think these places actually test their own wifi before posting those fake photos?

Man, it's the same everywhere, people always advertise the best version of things and hope you don't look too close.
