Am I the only one who used to pack way too much tech gear?

A friend in Lisbon last year saw my bag and said, 'You look like you're moving a server, not working remotely.' I sold my second monitor and a bunch of cables, and now I travel with just a laptop, one universal adapter, and a portable mouse. What's the one piece of gear you realized you could easily live without?

My buddy's old drive made a weird clicking noise, then just stopped. He lost all his college photos.

At least it still works as a paperweight. Some drives just become expensive dust collectors.
