I was grinding at a cafe near Tha Phae Gate last month, and the owner brought me a free iced coffee. He said 'You stare at that screen like it owes you money, you should go see the temple on the mountain today.' That small push got me to actually close my laptop and explore. Anyone else have a moment where a local basically forced you to take a break?

Wait, they just gave you a free coffee? That's the part that gets me. Where I'm from, you'd get a side-eye for taking up a table too long, not a free drink and life advice.
