Tried that 'no-delete' layer trick a pro told me...

Ngl, a seasoned digital painter in a Discord group insisted I keep every layer and never delete anything, just hide them. After 6 months of having files with 80+ layers and crashing my tablet twice, I realized it's just clutter for my workflow. Does anyone else find that advice completely backwards for speed painting?

It's like that person who insists you need to keep every single email you've ever gotten, even the ones from 2014 about a Groupon for a sandwich shop. Sometimes the "expert" advice is just an old habit dressed up as a rule.
