I finally shared my hot take on digital art trends

During an online art stream, I said I prefer quick sketches over detailed final pieces. Most folks seem to love polished work, but I find rough drafts more honest. Who else likes seeing the messy early stages in a showcase?

Read an article once comparing sketchbooks to museums. The messy pages often show more life than the framed pieces.

But what about the value in seeing an idea fully realized? I get why rough drafts feel honest, but a clean final piece shows dedication and skill. It's easy to call a sketch alive, but turning that into a polished work takes real effort. To me, that final step is what makes art worth sharing.

Is it bad my finished work looks worse than my sketches?
