Just realized dad's old Nokia 3310 still held a charge after 15 years

I found my dad's old Nokia 3310 in a box of junk last weekend while cleaning out the garage in Portland. I plugged it in just for fun and it actually turned on after a few minutes. The battery wasn't swollen or anything, and it held a charge for like 3 days before dying. That phone has been sitting in a cold garage since 2009 with no care at all. It made me think about how many modern phones I've gone through since then. Has anyone else found an old phone or gadget that just refused to die?

Having a phone hold a charge after 15 years is a neat party trick, but let's be real, it's not like you'd use it for anything today. Those old bricks couldn't even send a text message without taking ten button presses. It's just not that impressive when you remember what they were actually capable of.

Man, that's the kind of finding that makes you feel old but also warm inside, haha. Totally get why you'd be stoked on it, even if it can't do much nowadays.
