I lost $80 on a vintage iPod Mini that wouldn't charge

Bought a "fully working" iPod Mini from a Facebook seller for $80, spent a month trying to revive the battery before realizing the logic board was fried. Anyone else waste cash on a dead gadget that looked fine on the outside?

You used to think FB Marketplace was a steal too? I learned that lesson the hard way as well.

Got a buddy who bought a "mint condition" Game Boy Advance SP off eBay for $120. Looked perfect in the photos, no scratches, everything seemed legit. Charged it up for a few hours, turned it on, and the screen had this creepy vertical line running through it. He tried the whole heat gun thing and pressing the ribbon cable trick, but nope, it was done for. The seller just ghosted him after that, so he's stuck with this $120 paperweight that only plays Tetris in black and white lol.
