Just figured out 2FA backup codes saved my butt

I always ignored the backup code step when setting up two factor. Last week I got a new phone and realized I couldn't get into my email account without the old one. Downloaded the backup codes from the recovery page and now I keep them in my wallet. Has anyone else had a close call like that?

Oh, I actually go the other way on this. I think keeping backup codes on paper creates its own risks if you lose your wallet or someone finds it.

Totally feel you on that @caseywest, paper backup codes definitely freak me out for the same reason.
