Two months of hell at one fast food place vs one shift at another, night and day
worked the drive thru at a burger joint for 2 months, they trained me by throwing me on the register during lunch rush. managers screamed at me over the headset for being slow, customers yelled at me for stuff the cooks messed up. quit after some dude threw a milkshake at me over a 50 cent mistake.
then i got a job at this small diner in Pittsburgh, first shift they had me shadow someone for 3 hours before i touched anything. when i messed up an order the owner just said "we'll comp it, no big deal" and showed me the right way. been there 8 months now and honestly the difference is just how they treat you when you screw up. has anyone else had one job that made you hate people and another that made you love the work?

That milkshake guy, would you have stayed if the manager had handled it different... or was that just the final straw on top of everything else?
