The printer paper that took 45 minutes to replace
So my store got a new copier and the paper tray jams constantly. Customer asks me to print 50 pages, first jam happens. I clear it, hit print, jam again. After 4 jams I finally realize the paper guide was set for legal size but we loaded letter. Took me 45 minutes to figure out what should have been a 2 second fix. Has anyone else had a simple problem turn into a huge time sink like that?

Oh come on, this one is totally on you. 45 minutes to check a paper guide? That's not a machine problem, that's a user problem. The copier was doing exactly what it should, you just didn't look at the settings first. Half the time people blame the equipment when they skip the basic checks.

Wait, did you actually check the paper guide yourself before running it, or did you just assume it was fine? Because I've seen way too many people skip that step and then act shocked when the machine jams. If you spent 45 minutes troubleshooting without verifying the most basic thing, that's kind of on you man.

And that's the truth right there. I had the exact same thing happen to me with an old copier at the church office a few years back. The thing would jam every single time, and I was ready to throw it out the window after an hour of fussing with it. Finally my husband came in, took one look at the paper tray, and saw the guide wasn't even clicked into the right slot. He slid it over, and the machine ran like a dream after that. Felt real foolish standing there knowing I could have fixed it in ten seconds if I'd just looked first. Makes you wonder how many machines have been tossed out over something that simple.
