Swapped Patreon for a direct tip jar setup and my income went up 40% in 2 months

I had 300 people on Patreon but only 12 paying members because everyone hates monthly subscriptions. Switched to a simple buy me a coffee page with no tiers or recurring payments and suddenly people were dropping $5 and $10 like it was nothing. Has anyone else seen better results with one time payments over subscriptions?
