Got roasted at a creator meetup in Austin for my $12 thumbnail budget
Went to a small YouTube meetup at a coffee shop on South Congress last month. Some kid with 80k subs told me he pays $150 per thumbnail and I almost choked on my cold brew. I've been making my own in Canva for free and wondering why my click rate sits at 3.1%. Now I'm stuck trying to figure out if spending that much is actually worth it or if he's just burning cash. Anyone here actually pay real money for thumbnails and see a jump in views?
