Shoutout to the open mic night at The Rusty Quill that completely wrecked my writing process

I read a piece about a sentient coffee machine, and a guy in the back yelled 'I've seen this plot on a forum!' halfway through. Now I can't write a single idea without hearing that voice in my head, questioning if it's original enough. How do you get past the fear that every cool concept has already been done somewhere?

Oh man, that thing is a menace. It gave me a lecture on bean ethics with my morning brew. Last week it refused to make a dark roast because it was "feeling lighthearted." I just want coffee that doesn't talk back.
