A beta reader told me my fantasy world felt 'like a Wikipedia article' and it wrecked my outline for a month.

I had to scrap my 15-page lore document and now I only reveal world details through a character discovering them, like my protagonist finding a rusted city guard badge that shows the old kingdom's symbol was a fox, not a hawk.

Honestly, that feedback sounds way too harsh. A 15 page lore doc is just for you, right? It's your map. The beta reader saw the map, not the actual trip. Showing the fox badge is a great move, but tossing all your notes seems extreme. Maybe just hide the map from the readers, not from yourself. You can still use that stuff to make the world feel real, even if the characters don't get a history lesson.
