Can we talk about guys who forget to unlock the boom before extending?
I was on a job in Akron last Tuesday and watched a younger operator try to extend his boom while the slew lock was still engaged. He spent 5 minutes cranking the lever before I walked over and pointed it out. This happens way more than it should from what I've seen on different sites. Anyone else keep running into people skipping the pre-op walkaround?

You know, I used to think the walkaround was mostly for new guys, but after seeing a seasoned operator try to lift with the outriggers barely set, I changed my tune. That pre-op check is probably the cheapest insurance you'll ever get, right?
