I used to think scalp treatments were just a fancy add-on

I mean, for years I figured a good shampoo was enough. Then a regular client came in with serious flaking and tightness, so I did a full scalp analysis with a little magnifying lamp. After three weekly sessions with a salicylic acid treatment, her scalp was totally clear and her hair looked thicker. Has anyone else seen results like that from focusing on the scalp first?

Totally get where you're coming from. I've seen the same thing happen with clients who just needed that extra focus. It really can change everything for their hair health.

Yeah, it's wild how much of a difference that makes. My own hair is proof that ignoring it doesn't work (I went through a phase where I thought my curls would just figure themselves out... they did not). That kind of focus feels like a pain at first, but then you see the results and it just clicks.

Read something about how that "click" moment is basically your brain rewiring to see the routine as self-care instead of a chore. Makes total sense now.
