Found a trick for dealing with formaldehyde smell in the salon

Went to a shop in Phoenix last month and the owner had these little bowls of coffee grounds sitting around. Not the fancy beans just the cheap stuff. She said it soaks up the chemical smell way better than those plug in air fresheners. Tried it in my station and clients actually commented the air feels cleaner. Anyone else tried this or got a better hack for the smell?

Toss in some activated charcoal too, that stuff pulls odors like crazy.
