Just realized my car's serpentine belt was the same one from 2014

Last Tuesday my 2012 Honda Accord died on the highway near Denver. Engine light came on, steering got heavy, and I barely pulled off to the shoulder. Turned out the serpentine belt snapped clean in half. When the tow truck guy looked at the old one, he said it was original factory from 2014. I had no idea belts could degrade that bad from just heat and age. I checked my maintenance records and never once thought about that part in 10 years. Now I'm wondering what else I've been ignoring under the hood. Has anyone else had a surprise failure from a part they forgot existed?

That 'belt from 2014' thing got me checking my own car too, honestly.
