A local town hall meeting made me question the official story about a power outage

About 8 months ago, our small town in Vermont had a major blackout that lasted 14 hours. The power company said it was a single fallen tree on a main line. But I was at the substation that day helping a friend, and we saw three separate trucks arrive before the outage even started. The official timeline just doesn't add up. I brought this up at the town hall, but most people just wanted their lights back on and didn't care about the details. How can you have a real debate when folks dismiss odd facts so fast? Has anyone else had a local event where the public story felt incomplete?
