I finally ditched thermal paste and went with thermal pads on a GPU rebuild
After three failed paste jobs on a 3080 which kept hitting 90C under load, the Fujipoly pads dropped it to 75C and I haven't touched it in 6 months - anyone else swear by pads over paste for certain cards?

Dude same here lol. Swapped to pads on my old 2070 Super after fighting with paste for months, never looked back. The consistency is just way better for me, no more worrying about pump out or bad application.

See I gotta disagree a bit, pads are nice for certain cards but I've had issues with them not making full contact on some memory chips. Thermal paste lets me dial in the pressure myself and I haven't had pump out problems since I started using honeywell stuff.
