Check the little rubber feet on the bottom of your keyboard before you worry about wiping anything. I pulled mine up last month and there was a whole layer of crud growing under there that no wipe would ever reach, and it was WAY worse than the key tops. That gunk sits against your desk all day and every time you tilt the board it flakes onto your hands. Most people scrub the keys and never flip the thing over, which is wild when you think about it. Pop the feet off, soak them in warm soapy water, and clean the plastic underneath with a q tip. Takes ten minutes and it fixed the smell I could not figure out for a year.
