Switched from a standard Kirby Morgan to a Gorski helmet for a month of harbor work

The Gorski's lower profile and better field of view around pilings in Seattle made a huge difference for spotting hazards. Anyone else made a helmet switch that changed their game?

Seattle's harbor has those tight spaces between old wooden pilings, maybe 18 inches in some spots. @calebh90, the bulk isn't just about size, it's about how the helmet catches current and pulls your whole head. A slimmer shell lets you turn against the flow without fighting it as hard. That's less neck strain over a 10-hour shift, which is a total game changer.

Holy crap, 18 inches between pilings? That's basically a death trap. I'd be freaking out about getting pinned in there. No wonder the helmet drag matters so much.

Wait, you're working in Seattle harbor with all that current and boat traffic? That sounds insane lol. I can't believe the helmet change made that big of a difference just from being slimmer. Makes me wonder how bulky the old one must have been.
