Swapped my old Kirby Morgan band mask for a full face AGA last month
I used to dive with the old KM band masks forever, just because that's what I learned on in the Gulf. After a 10 foot vis day in Port Angeles where I kept fogging up and couldn't hear comms right, I finally bought an AGA FFM. Night and day difference for comms clarity and the defog is way better. Anyone else made the switch and notice a big change in how long they can stay down?

Man that 10 foot vis day in Port Angeles sounds brutal, I feel your pain on the fogging issue. I made the switch from an old KM to an AGA about two years back and it was honestly the best dive gear decision I've made in a long time. The comms clarity alone makes you feel way more locked in with the team, and not having to mess with defog every ten minutes really does let you stretch your bottom time.

Start by saying I don't really buy into the hype... I mean yeah fogging is annoying but it's not like it's ruining dives for me. I've been using the same old KM for years and never had issues that made me want to drop cash on a whole new system. Comms are fine if you just talk clearly and stay close to your buddy. Maybe my standards are lower but I'd rather spend that money on more tanks or a trip somewhere warm... seems like people make a bigger deal out of gear than it really is.
