Switched from monthly pull lists to trades only after my closet disaster

I used to grab every new issue of X-Men as it dropped, but after digging through 3 longboxes trying to find one arc I nearly gave up. Trades are cleaner, cheaper by about $4 per story, and I can actually loan them to friends without hunting for issues 2 and 5. Am I the only one who got sick of bagging and boarding everything?

Respectfully, I love the hunt through longboxes though (it feels like a treasure dig to me).

Honest question though, do you actually find the good stuff often enough to make it worth the time? I feel like 9 times out of 10 I'm just digging through a ton of beat-up copies of Spider-Man from the 90s and a bunch of stuff nobody wants. But when you do stumble on that one hidden gem, it's gotta feel amazing right? Just wondering if the payoff matches the effort for you.
