Signed up for a $150 longbox subscription service and got 12 issues of a miniseries nobody wanted

I tried one of those monthly comic subscription deals from a new online shop. Paid $150 up front for a year, and the first box was all leftover copies of a forgettable alien invasion mini from 2022. Has anyone else had better luck with these services or should I just stick to digging through quarter bins at my local shop in Cincinnati?

Wait actually $150 for 12 issues is like $12.50 each which is way more than quarter bins usually charge.

Man $150 for a longbox subscription and they sent you the dregs of someone's unsold stock. Could've just lit the money on fire and at least gotten warm for a minute. At those prices they should be tossing in some keys or at least a variant cover now and then. Quarter bins in Cincinnati are probably more honest than whoever is running that shop. Check the bottom of the boxes near the register too, sometimes the good stuff gets shoved in there by accident.
