Rant: The guy at my LCS who 'corrects' people on every single issue number

Three weeks ago I'm at Third Eye Comics in Annapolis just grabbing the new Batman issue and this dude in a faded Punisher shirt jumps in to tell a kid he was wrong about the cover artist. Kid was like 12 and just excited about the art. Manager said nothing. Has anyone else got a store regular who kills the vibe like that?

Seems like he's just enthusiastic about the hobby and might not realize how it comes across.

Used to think he was just being obnoxious, but you're right. I didn't see the enthusiasm underneath. Honestly, I've been wrong about a few people in this hobby - sometimes they just get excited and don't realize how loud or pushy they seem. It's easy to judge from the outside. Your take made me rethink some of my reactions.
