Had to pick between a full run of 'The Question' or a mint copy of 'Amazing Spider-Man' #300

I found both at a con in Chicago last weekend, but my budget only covered one. I went with the 'Amazing Spider-Man' #300 for the first full Venom appearance, even though it hurt to pass on the Vic Sage stories. It's already framed and looks amazing on my wall. Has anyone else had to make a tough call between a key issue and a favorite character run?

Tough choices are the whole hobby sometimes. You made the right call going for the iconic single issue, those are just harder to replace later. A full run is a project you can piece together over time, but a key in that condition is a now-or-never find. The wall display is a nice bonus, turning your budget pain into a permanent trophy.

Favorite character run" always kills me. I once sold a stack of Hellboy trades to fund a single, stupidly overpriced Batman 608.
