Found a dead mouse in my coffee grinder this morning

I was grinding beans for my morning pour-over at 6 AM in my apartment kitchen when a weird clunking sound came out of my Baratza Encore. Opened the hopper and found a dried up mouse stuck in the burrs, must have crawled in through the lid gap overnight. Anyone else ever had a critter get into their gear and how did you flush them out without ruining the grinder?

Yeah I used to never bother covering my grinder at night but this makes me rethink that.

Man I learned this the HARD way too. Had a family of ants march right into my Ode and set up camp near the grind chamber because I left a little moisture in there from rinsing the hopper. Took me an hour with a brush and canned air to get every single one out and I still find a stray husk in my grounds sometimes. That closed lid gap is like a Welcome mat for anything small enough to squeeze through.
