Sunset clouds near the refinery have a weird orange-brown tint now
I take cloud pictures every evening from my back porch. For the past few weeks, the clouds over the refinery look muddy orange, not clean red. It reminds me of smog pictures I saw online. I'm starting to think it's from all the plant smoke mixing with the air. Has anyone else noticed cloud colors shifting near big pollution sources? I want to learn if this is a sign of bad air quality. How can I use my photos to show this change to others?

Yeah the muddy orange looks off compared to normal sunsets.

Try a warmer filter, @grayw32, fixes that muddy tone.

Wait what, you guys can see orange as muddy? That's wild to me! A normal sunset is like a full box of crayons, all pinks and peaches and gold. If your orange just looks flat and dirty, something's way off with the light or the edit. Did you use one of those basic presets that just slams the same tone on everything?
