Vent: My old rotary drill head snapped clean off inside a brick flue
It happened yesterday on a job in Portland, and I had to finish the cleanout with hand rods. Do you think it's worth investing in a whole new drill system or just buying a stronger replacement head?

Man, that reminds me of the time my truck's tailgate latch sheared right off.

Stuff just isn't built to last anymore, you know? It feels like everything from tools to appliances is made to break right after the warranty ends. Maybe it's just me, but that drill head snapping seems like part of that pattern. I'd be worried a new head from the same brand would just do the same thing. Might be worth looking at a whole different system if you can swing it, something known for being tough.
