Rant: My aunt's potato peeling panic

She tried to peel spuds with a paring knife while telling a story, and ended up with more finger nicks than potatoes. We had to bandage her up and finish the prep ourselves. Does anyone else have family that turns cooking into an emergency room visit?

Feel your pain, my dad once tried to julienne a carrot.

My uncle Bob in Texas always says a little blood adds flavor to the stew. Those small cuts just show someone is trying hard with their hands. Have you ever seen a good cook without a few scars? It means they are really into it, not just rushing. When my cousin sliced her finger on a pie crust, we all helped fix it and now we laugh every year. Why get upset about a bandage when you're all together anyway?
