Saw my aunt's cat book collection go from 3 to 30 in about two years. What clicked for her was finding a local cat cafe that had a swap shelf.

Okay but is it really that deep though? I mean people collect stamps and those are just tiny pieces of paper with glue on them. Cats are at least cute and have personality. I get that 30 is a lot more than 3 but a cat cafe swap shelf is such a specific thing that it feels more like a quirky hobby than an actual problem. My cousin has like 50 coffee mugs from different states and nobody questions that. Unless your aunt is giving up paying bills for cat books I'd say let her have her weird little thing.

Set a limit of 10 books and see if she sticks to it.
