My aunt's cat book obsession was right after all
She told me back in 2003 to keep every cat photo book I found. I thought they were just clutter. Now I've got 12 of them and a friend paid me $40 for one from 1987 with the wildest cat poses I've ever seen. Anyone else holding onto old cat books that got valuable?

Did you check if any of them have specific photographer names or niche publisher imprints? The real money seems to be in the ones nobody remembers like the "Cats in Sweaters" or weird themed series. I'd flip through them carefully for any signatures or unique photo credits first. Also check the copyright pages - pre-1990 books with limited print runs are where the value hides, not the mass produced ones.

Honestly, that reminds me of when I found a stack of old Cat Fancy magazines at a garage sale for a quarter each and ended up selling a 1992 issue to someone in Japan for like thirty bucks because it had that one spread of cats wearing sunglasses.
