My partner pointed out my 'just in case' clothes were 80% of my bag

I was repacking for a trip to Denver and they asked why I needed three sweaters for a forecast with zero rain. Do you pack for 'what if' or stick strictly to the itinerary?

That's a classic packing mistake! I finally learned to check the weather and pack only for those conditions. The extra stuff just weighs you down for no reason.

Exactly, it's like we're all carrying around these invisible suitcases. We keep mental tabs on old arguments or things we should have done, and it takes up so much energy. That "just in case" thinking makes every decision harder because you're sifting through so much clutter. It feels like you can't move forward because you're always dragging the past with you. Learning to unpack that stuff is way harder than leaving a raincoat at home.

That "extra stuff" problem is everywhere. People buy kitchen gadgets they use once, fill their phones with apps they never open, or keep clothes they never wear. It's mental weight too, like holding onto old worries. We pack our lives with junk just in case, and it just slows us down.
