I was totally wrong about packing cubes - gave in after my 4th trip to Japan

For like 2 years I thought packing cubes were just an overpriced way to organize socks. But after my last trip to Tokyo where I spent 15 minutes digging through my bag for a charger in the airport bathroom, my friend loaned me her set. Honestly? They actually save space if you roll clothes tight inside them. My bag zipped easier and I didn't have to repack after every hotel stop. Still not sure they're worth $40+ but I grabbed a cheap 3-pack for $12 at Target. Anyone else change their mind on a travel gadget after trying it once?

I felt the same way until my buddy told me what happened to him in a hostel in Thailand. He was in a 16-bed dorm trying to find his clean shirt at 6am and woke up like 4 people rustling his bag. After that he swore by cubes and even got his girlfriend a set for Christmas lol. His cheap ones from Amazon held up fine for 3 years of backpacking so I don't think you gotta drop $40. But yeah, the airport bathroom charger hunt is real and cubes fix that struggle fast.

Wait, how did the cubes help the airport charger struggle?
